The Path V1 I think it's weird that we blame. I say [sarcastically] "Let's all be victims! And let's see who can win this game." You wind into my head, try to think of something else instead but your stubborn memory lingers with me just the same. I would send your fears into space (heh) if I knew they weren't contageous to any alien race. Don't believe your life was evil for following the laws of free will you're never going to fall that far from grace. Chorus Since I met you, you meant a lot to me. Doesn't matter how strongly you push away. You might hate me, but it doesn't change anything cos to me you're beautiful like the wild woodland path on an Autumn day. V2 Now don't you listen when they say you're not enough. You don't need sympathy, you need to know you've got the stuff. No need to feel inadequate, no, I'd say more on the matter but I know you'll learn that you just thought you had it tough. Chorus And you're always going to mean so much to me. And it doesn't matter how far you run away. You can blame me for all your problems but it won't help anyone at all and to me you're shimmering like the wild woodland path on a stormy day. V3 There's no shame in playing how you want to play. Don't heed those ideas of you, they're not yours anyway. Screw all those expectations, we're all just a part of God's creation, we just live, and love, and let live, and then we pass away. Chorus You'll always represent a memory. Doesn't matter how far off the track you stray, don't buy into their shame. You're dazzling like the wild woodland path on a Summer's day. V4 I think we should love the way we are. There's nothing wrong with the life we've had and we are still alive thus far. Life's just an experience, and if we've learned to forgive then it was life well spent, we'll leave it nicer than it was when we depart. Chorus You will always be extended family, doesn't matter how long you stay away. You can hate me and it wouldn't help anyone, 'cos to me you're natural like the wild woodland path on any given day. ---------------------------------------- Notes: (Love - Compassion) This builds upon the last track's letter of forgiveness, and spells out more plainly a message of unconditional compassion (the ultimate forgiveness) for you, the whole world, me, our past, future self, your pet dog, (basically everyone, or whoever you like if you can't yet bring yourself to give it to everyone). Technical Notes: The "Law of Free Will" in V1 is lifted from a thing called "The Law of One" (a VERY heavy, quirky, and semi-famous record of a channeling session with "Ra", not for the faint of heart, mind, or patience), in essence: "Everyone can do as they please so long as it doesn't prevent any others from doing as THEY please." ...This seems far too liberal an idea at first glance, but upon deeper contemplation, understanding how far reaching the implications of our seemingly mundane every day choices are, it really demands quite a compassionate way of being from every single one of us to actually ensure everyone can do as they please.
