The Sage (Head-shot of innocent looking female with a thought bubble imagining real-world examples of the scenarios described in each line. Near the end of the verse, the thought bubble has somehow revealed her ability to see the goodness in 'monsters', pans out to see a mapped network of monsters being created through cause and effect and her affection for them... There are many opportunities for toon comedy in this music video, be sure not to waste them, the next song pivots into a more serious tone, the audience need to be confident in our ability to re-elevate their mood by the time that song starts.) V1 She sees that we're born with inquisitive empathy. She sees we're conditioned to insensitive psychopathy. She sees we're disconnected from our consequence, disease in the footprint of our first world problem countenance. She knows our displaced aggression - try to breath with me. She knows that our local perception feeds naivety. She knows it's the preconditions that brought us here. She knows our victim system taught by our fear. (the thought bubble bursts and innocent female rushes over and hugs the closest real life human monster (to the shock of the monster), and she unplugs the monster from the monster matrix helping them to return to human form) PreChorus Yet still she loves you, she sees your soul. She sees the subconscious link the conscious whole. (she springs into action, deftly severing the real life connections of causality which create fear monsters in everyone around her) Chorus She's a Sage, she's the old soul girl. Unafraid, she can hold your world. She's uncaged, she's a high vibration. Centre stage, she's an inspiration. (innocent female is now in a smooth rhythm, skipping/dancing along happily, no fear, seeing the real causes of problems, manipulating the world around her to effortlessly solve them (it should be regularly ambiguous as to whether or not some of the solving part is intentional - plenty more room for visual comedy here)). V2 She sees sometimes the way to teach is not to tell. She sees that crimes are karma lessons, not a ticket straight to hell, mwahahaha. She knows that we stay that we know things that we just don't know. She chose to forgive the journey of the ebb and flow long ago. She knows the poor spider's confused and just wants to live, and she knows that monsters die inside us when we choose to forgive. She can see the boss is also a child simply learning to drive. She knows some CEO's are confused and merely fear to die. She chose to love the adventure of experience. She grows above the self-centred interference. She composes the music on countless harmonies. She glows 'cos she knows her music is a part of me and you. (pan out again, this time in reality, but showing that each person around her is actually just a small child in a little bubble universe of their own, and that a few of these children are starting to peer around and notice that other bubbles exist and becoming curious about them) PreChorus She loves us all, she's the old soul. She knows we're just children in holographic worlds. (action superhero innocent little girl scene generally kicking ass against fear - no violence, but edgy animation style reminiscent of a modern toon action fight scene) Chorus She's a Sage, she's the old soul girl. Unafraid, she can hold your world. She's uncaged, she's a high vibration. Centre stage... She's a Sage, she's an old soul girl. Unafraid, she can hold your world. She's uncaged, she's a high vibration. Centre stage, she's an inspiration. (The mood of the music here between this track and the next gives fair warning that the present moment of comedic introductions is coming to a close, and that a more mindful tone is arriving. Pan out/fade to the perspective of a bystander (who we haven't yet seen or met). Innocent girl rapidly aging in her action hero scene until she is a frail old woman until she slumps into a comfy armchair with a cup of tea as the piano comes in and her scene fades into a small white dot as she reflects on life. The dot becomes part of the contents a male's thought bubble in the opening scene of the next track as the camera pans to face the bystander (the said male, who's perspective the cameras just panned out of to face him)). ------------------------------------------- Notes: (Discernment) Does anyone know this girl?? :D "The Sage", (perhaps as much of an erratic sound montage as a song), raises the tempo a notch from the previous track and introduces the faster and more effortlessly powerful 'hero' of the album; the traditionally feminine energy we call compassion (thus "She" is the sage). Our power of compassion and its 'unconditional-ness' is relative to our ability for empathy, sympathy (understanding), and by extension, curiosity. All of these messages are promoted in the lyrics. At 170bpm, and with the offset bass drum (on the "3&" count of the beat), the genre is technically drum'n'bass, but it has a bit of a superhero vibe (who was that mysterious girl? how did she do that stuff? it happened so fast! At 170bpm!). Self-critical points: This is a strange song arrangement-wise. It's quite a unique track and rather experimental in a few ways. As such, it's a little bit harder to find material out there in the world to use as a base-line comparison for production level. It's becoming clear that with the sheer pace of the songs and lyrics, it's not realistic to expect the audience to be able to absorb what's going on in one listen... Particularly with this song, an animated video clip will help provide much needed context for the fast pace and amount of stuff going on aurally. Without that, this song is going to be overwhelming and too messy for many to listen to. With the right visual accompaniment, these songs become calculated communications of understanding which an audience will be able to absorb relatively effortlessly simply by paying attention - the music then becomes much more of a subconscious garnish, part of a much bigger dish. This need for animated visuals potentially blows the project out to probably at least 5-6 years, perhaps a decade or two unless I can find help via others or perhaps AI by then.
