The Intro Voiceover: Once upon a currently ongoing time, in a galaxy very, very right here, there is an innocent little planet called Earth, and, for a time it's people are very ripe for the taking, and their desperate cries of despair sound like this... ------------------------------------------- Notes: (Tension) This was originally just 8 quick chords at the start of "The Farm" (the next track) similar to the start of Jamiroquai's "Canned Heat", "Blow your mind" or even "Deeper Underground" (his music is a notable influence). After putting it together these 8 chords seemed empty, so I stretched them right out over the space of a whole minute and gave it some voice-over to set the scene for the first few lines of track 1 (this being track 0 heh). The Harry Potter style 'parcel-tongue' echo/delay effect was fun to play with. Also, suffering a cold when I started writing this one, I was happily able to take advantage of 'early morning super deep voice syndrome' to get some nice growly, suitably sinister sounding moments which added some complimenting creaky noises in the background after the reverse echo 'parcel-tongue' effect was applied. This one was a super fun unexpected extra track - it's not often that I get to explore the vast freedom of emotional palette that this kind of heavily cinematic, non-rythmic style provides.
